The Carol Madison Fund supports the Tobias Fellows Program (formally known as Hoosier Fellows Program).
This fund fulfills the mission of multi-sector leadership interaction by supporting leaders of not for profit organizations. The Tobias Leadership Center has contributed approximately $1-million to date toward the Fellows program cost to support not for profit leaders and we ask for your contribution to continue this crucial aspect of the Fellows program.
Carol Madison retired in 2016 after 11 years as the Executive Director of the Randall L. Tobias Center for Leadership Excellence. Carol was a key architect in designing and implementing the Hoosier Fellows Program, now known as Tobias Fellows Program, to fulfill Ambassador Tobias’s vision for the center of inspiring leadership excellence on a national scale with special access to Indiana citizens. To that end, some of the leadership models studied by Fellows at various venues over the years include:
- Military leadership at locations such as Camp Atterbury Indiana, Fort Knox KY, and West Point Military Academy
- Leadership in Sports, Arts and Entertainment as demonstrated while performing as a member of an Indy Car pit crew at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway or Putnam Park Road Course
- Religious leadership as it has been applied through the centuries at St. Meinrad Archabbey
- Differences between leadership decisions made by a government entity and leadership decisions made by business organizations
