Description of the video:

Today, we have picked
cutting-edge topics that we feel
leaders need to be prepared for
the 21st century. Grit creates an environment
where innovation not only is created,
but it thrives. The day I became
the CEO of Lily, you could have
bought one share for 12 and a half
dollars. Today, Lily has become
the 10th largest corporation in the world. Wayne Dyer said
compassion is the most important lesson
to teach. And I had never really thought
about the power of compassion until I
heard him say that. The word compassionate
appeared as you see it here in my
mind. Compassion it. My leadership lesson
is surround yourself with a great team. At
the center, we believe that leadership is needed
now more than ever. Thank you for
prioritizing your. growth. AI is a catch-all
phrase, a promiscuous phrase on the West
Coast where AI is actually being
evolved right now at a pace that is unlike
anything anyone has ever seen. They're
talking about an undefined idea called
AGI. Everybody is going to bias their
models based on how they are coded, how
they are fine-tuned, and how the models
are constrained. As leadership, that's the
question. How do we know this is not bias?
Having the bias doesn't make you a bad leader.
Not recognizing the bias, not
accounting for the bias does. The most important
single thing that I have learned in the
world of leadership, I can break
that down to one word, and that
word is focus.

The 2024 Tobias Fellows Tune-Up was an exceptional, full-day event that exceeded my expectations. The opportunity for networking was invaluable, and the speakers were truly outstanding. I'm already looking forward to 2025!

Jodi Whitney | VP Human Resources & Chief Diversity Officer, Citizens Energy Group

Leadership is an ongoing practice that requires perpetual growth. The Tune-Up event provided an immense return on the development dollars I invested in this day of learning and connection.

Mark Ashworth | Executive Director, Business System Support, Indiana Department of Revenue
